Establishing Paternity

When a child is born outside of a marriage, paternity must be established in order to provide a father with rights to his child and for the Court to order allocation of parental responsibilities for decision-making, parenting time, child support, and children’s expenses. An individual may file a petition seeking to establish paternity with the Court to establish and enforce their rights.
